The Organisation
Link Personnel Services manages the Vanuatu Health Resources Mechanism (VHRM), an Australian Government funded initiative that provides short and long term corporate skills and staff supplementation to support systems strengthening in the health sector in Vanuatu.
The Position
To collaboratively develop a policy framework for the Ministry of Health (MOH) reflective of policy documentation that should be in place to support the Government Health System and provide a recommended implementation plan. Also assist the MOH with the establishment of a referral policy reflective of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Health Care systems available in Vanuatu. Furthermore to review and update Ministry of Health Policy and any other gaps to be addressed.
Essential Selection Criteria
► Degree in Health Policy, Public Health, Community Health, Business Administration or other relevant field
► Sound demonstrated experience in Policy and Planning within Melanesia (preferred) or the Asia-Pacific Region (desirable)
► Demonstrated experience in building the capacity of others within a Corporate Health or Corporate Administration setting
► Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to contribute as an effective team member
► Proficiency in English
Desirable Selection Criteria
► Experience working within the Government of Vanuatu and knowledge of the informal and formal health systems would be desirable
► Able to communicate in Bislama, both written and oral
