The Position

The position will ensure timely and quality delivery of planned project and programs and work on strengthening program integration to measure impact on the lives of vulnerable children in Vanuatu. As part of the Vanuatu Senior Management team, you will report to the Country Director and making an impact by: - Being accountable for all aspects of program implementation. - Leading the establishment of MEAL systems ensuring learning is used to inform programs. - Building Ni-Vanuatu staff capacity to develop a strong national team. - Proactively representing Save the Children with key governmental and non-governmental stakeholders. - Collaborating with Pacific country offices to facilitate strategic alignment and maximize synergies.

Essential Selection Criteria

► Proven experience in building national staff capability. Experience in child-centric development programming, experience in other thematic areas will be considered.

► Substantial experience in emergency and disaster recovery response. Program cycle management including financial management and budgetary control.

► Demonstrated experience directing and implementing developmental programs.

► The position is open to Ni-Vanuatu and international applicants. Ni-Vanuatu applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

► Vanuatu Residency visa required for overseas expatriate candidate

► You have strong faith in the capability of your team to take on responsibility, and actively support team members to develop the skills, experience, values and confidence to take on more senior roles in the organisation.
